Daria Naumova took fifth place at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the weight category up 76 kilograms. Daria showed the result in 234 kg (103+131) in the double-event.

In the first attempt in the snatch, the Belarusian woman fixed the weight 103 kg. In the remaining two approaches, the silver medalist of the Games in Rio was unable to conquer the bar in 107 kg, located in the intermediate sixth position.

In clean and jerk Daria Naumova started her performance with weight 125 kg. In the second attempt, she obeyed 131 kg. But with weight 133 kg failed to cope.

In this way, by the sum of the double event, the Belarusian took 234 kg. This is the fifth result.

Olympic champion became Nacy Patricia Barrera – 263 kg (118+145). Silver in Catherine Nye – 249 kg (111+138). Bronze was won by a Mexican Aremi Fuentes-Zavala – 245 kg (108+137).

Daria Naumova commented on her performance in this way:

Fought on the platform with competitors, as far as strength allowed. Preparing for the Games with a Swiss barbell, and here was chinese. It takes time, to get used to it, trained here, but that was not enough – the grip of the bar was not the same.
