Silver medalist of European championship (2004, 2007).
Bronze medalist of European championship (2001, 2005).

short biography:
Vitali was born Derbenyov 5 August 1976 years in Mogilev. He engaged in weightlifting under the direction of Anatoly Lobacheva. AT 1996 he won “silver” World Junior Championships, after which he became involved in the national team of Belarus.

AT 2000 he participated in the Olympic Games in Sydney, where he took the 7th place.
Throughout the 2000s, he was one of the leading athletes lightest weight not only in Belarus, but also in Europe. AT 2001, 2004, 2005 and 2007 years became the prize-winner of the European championships, and 2002, 2003, 2006 and 2010 years to conquer the title of the champion of continent. According to the number of gold medals of the continental forums became the champion among Belarusians along with Olympic champion Leonid Taranenko.

AT 2004 at the Olympic Games in Athens Derbenyov it was close to getting a medal, but, showed the same results with the bronze medal sedative Artuch from Turkey, I gave him of their own weight, and was the fourth.

AT 2011 year because of problems with sgonki weight and chronic shoulder injury, decided to conclude his career.
