Alexander Cup: Belarusians won eight medals at the tournament

Belarusians won eight medals at the international tournament of Olympic qualification Alexander Cup 2019, dedicated to the memory of two-time Olympic champion Alexander Kurlovich, which ended in Grodno.

On top of the podium in the double-event up Belarusians Dzina Sazanavets (81 kg) and Maxim Mudrevsky (89 kg).

Silver winners of the prestigious tournament began Daria Naumova (76 kg), Henadz Laptseu (67 kg), Vadzim Likharad (73 kg). The bronze medal won their teammates Julia Asaenok (49 kg), Peter Asaenok (81 kg) and Eugene Tihontsov (96 kg).

In the team event in men placed in the first position of Belarus, The runner-up team in China. Rounded out the top three Armenian athletes. Among the girls were the best Chinese athletes. The Belarusian team is located at the second position, on third – Russian team.

For the awards fought over 60 athletes from Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Romania, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Uruguay.

Alexander Cup 2019 – a licensed silver level tournament. Participation in these competitions is mandatory for athletes, purporting to speak in Tokyo 2020.
