96-th European Championships in weightlifting among men and 30th among women was held in Split, Croatia from 2 nd to 8 th April. National team of Belarus was represented at the continental 10 athletes. The national team of our country took in the medal standings in 14th place, and the results, including medals in the snatch and clean and jerk, located on the 15th line.
In men, a small bronze medal won in the snatch Paul Hodasevich (85 kg).
Among women Lyudmila Pankova (Psyschanitsa) (53 kg) won “bronze” in Nordic combined, as well as small “silver” a push. Anastasia Mihalenko (69 kg) also became the third by results of two exercises and the second – a push.
